Light up your life at Fix-It Café Lamp-O-Rama

Vashon’s first-ever Lamp-O-Rama will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the Vashon Eagles and via Zoom. Pre-registration is required at vashonfixit.com to bring in a broken lamp to the Eagles so that it can be repaired by a fixer and then picked up later that day. Zoom appointments are also being scheduled for those who need assistance repairing broken lamps from home, or creating a new lamp out of any household object — an art called bricolage lamp making.

The Vashon Fix-It Café, hosted by the Vashon Eagles Aerie # 3144, is staffed by members of the Vashon Tool Library (vashontools.org) Vashon Makerspace (vashonmakerspace.org), Zero Waste Vashon (zerowastevashon.org) and Vashon Island Time Exchange, with support from the King County Eco-Consumer Program.
