Village Green should indeed be preserved for grazing

I have lived on Vashon Island for my entire life as did my parents and their parents as well. I want to congratulate Nina for writing last weeks guest editorial and bringing up the point about grazing in the commons (“Village Green is not to be built on, needs to be preserved for all island activities,” Aug. 24).

I fully agree, I graze there often. Let’s prevent a tragedy of the commons and keep Vashon green. Perhaps the farmers and crafters can build a new market shelter in another place.
