UW researcher to discuss ‘power of parenting’

Kevin Haggerty, assistant director of the University of Wash-ington’s Social Development Research Group, will discuss both family and community strategies for raising healthy children.

 His talk, called “The Power of Parenting, the Power of Community,” will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at McMurray Middle School. 

 Haggerty, highly regarded for both his research and hands-on ex-perience, came to Vashon last year.
