A ferry lands on the north end of Vashon, one stop on the so-called "triangle route," which serves Vashon, Southworth and West Seattle. The route has been reduced to two-boat service for years, but will be restored to three-boat service this summer, according to a recent state announcement. However, maintaining that three-boat service will require actually having all the necessary boats in service.

This repair crew in Kitsap County arrived to face a tangle of downed wires, broken utility poles, and fallen transformers. Damage from the February storm was extreme on the Kitsap Peninsula, requiring many repair resources and thus limiting repair crew availability for Vashon.
