On behalf of Scott, Tracy, Jamie and the rest of the Bennedsen family, I would like to thank the people of Vashon for the support and love you have extended to all of us over the loss of Robert. Having you celebrate with us on August 1 was very special and is a memory we will reflect back on as we go through this difficult transition.

In many ways, you contributed to the man Robert became. While he was growing up, you helped him learn to care about others, try new things with courage and love life. He became a good soldier because you are the real America.
