The Vashon Park District is at a pivotal moment as it begins the search for a new executive director to follow in the remarkable footsteps of Elaine Ott-Rocheford. Her exemplary leadership, dedication, and vision have left an indelible mark on our parks and our community. As she prepares to retire this May, we extend our deepest gratitude for her transformative contributions to Vashon’s recreational spaces and programs.

The next executive director will play a critical role in building upon Elaine’s legacy. The ideal candidate should have experience in parks and recreation management, strong leadership skills, experience in the grant process, and a strong understanding of finance and financial management.
