Who can deny that The Beachcomber’s Letters to the Editor section is never less than thought provoking and often unexpectedly entertaining? Take the March 18 issue as a perfect example. One writer extols the virtues of debate (“Program teaches many skills”) while another calls for an end to it (“Let’s end the public debate”). What a great island we live on.
