VASHON CARE NETWORK

Thanks to Island Lumber

As one of the many worthwhile charities on the island, Vashon Care Network was graced by being chosen to be one of the two recipients of the proceeds from the Pink Bucket sales on Ladies’ Day at Island Lumber this year.

Our thanks to owner Earl Van Buskirk and the enthusiastic staff that made that day such a resounding success. A huge shoutout as well to all the women who showed up for the event.

Gifts like this support the Care Closet, a durable medical equipment library staffed five days a week by volunteers who respond to requests for wheelchairs, crutches, canes and commodes, as well as soft goods like incontinent supplies. We are blessed to partner with Island Lumber in keeping islanders safe, comfortable and living at home on the island.

On behalf of all family and professional caregivers on the island, and the folks receiving care, we give our thanks.

Liz Illg, Board President of Vashon Care Network
