Auditions for youth production to be held

Drama Dock is looking for actors ages 11 to 18 to appear in its next youth theater production — a presentation of two one-act plays, “Chamber Music” by Arthur Kopit and “Alice.”

Auditions will be held at noon Sunday, Dec. 19, at The Blue Heron; those interested should bring a memorized poem or a monologue no longer than 60 seconds in length. Performances will be at the Vashon High School theater Jan. 27 through 29. To find out more, contact Elizabeth Ripley at eripley13000@hotmail.com.

Quartermaster Press looks to expand

Quartermaster Press is expanding and inviting additional artist members. The Quartermaster Press is a cooperative studio founded 16 years ago by a group of Island artists. Current members recently held a group show at the Blue Heron Gallery. The group also sponsors classes for the public, including a basic monoprinting class by Valerie Willson, coming up in January. For information about becoming a member, contact Lisa Guy at orangetabbyvilla@gmail.com or Carla Okigwe at cokigwe@comcast.net.
