Apoe, a Seattle-born songwriter and musician, spent a number of years touring with the Cajun fiddler Doug Kershaw and developing a lifelong passion for American roots music. As a staff writer for Chappell Music, Apoe co-wrote and worked alongside Tim Harden (“If I Was a Carpenter” and “Reason to Believe”) and Ron Davies (“It Ain’t Easy,” recorded by David Bowie). He also gained support and encouragement from two music industry legends, Tom Dowd and John Hammond Sr.

Apoe and his band have released six CDs, with “Funny World” being the most recent. In 2011, he produced a Pacific Northwest tribute to Ron Davies called “The Mystery of Ron Davies.” Apoe is currently writing with Saar Liven, an Israeli singer and songwriter who appears on “Funny World.”

The show is free and open to all ages until 11 p.m., then 21 and older only.
