Vashon Island is full of holiday treasures, and many concert-goers consider the Vashon Island Chorale’s annual holiday concert to be one of them. This year, the chorale will honor holiday treasures with its Holiday Treasures Concerts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and at 3 p.m. Sunday at Bethel Church.

The majority of the songs slated for the show were suggested by the singers and audience members. Traditional carols from Germany, Ireland, Canada and Appalachian America will share the program with sacred songs from composers Rachmaninov, Lauridsen and Bach. Three songs were composed just for Christmas, and one piece is about winter. Marita Eriksen will be a featured soloist.

Tickets are available at the Vashon Bookshop and brownpapertickets.com. They will also be sold at the door if still available.
