Evening with jazz singer

Greta Matassa, a talented vocalist popular on the Northwest jazz scene, will return to Vashon for a show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Katherine L White Hall.

Matassa, who will be joined by longtime collaborators Darin Clendenin (piano), Clipper Anderson (bass) and Mark Ivester (drums), is known as an “electrifying performer” with a versatile range that allows her to cover songs from Sinatra to Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday.

Honored as Earshot Jazz Magazine’s “Northwest Vocalist of the Year” for seven years and inducted into the Earshot Jazz Hall of Fame in 2014, she is known for her perfect pitch and encyclopedic knowledge of songs.

Please note: The show will replace Jacob Miller and the Bridge City Crooners originally scheduled for Jan. 20.

Tickets are sold at VCA and vashoncenterforthearts.org.
