Islander and intrepid hiker Lizzy Corliss has organized a showing of the film “Walkumentary” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at the Vashon Theatre.

The documentary, directed by Lawton Grinter, is about six hikers who walked the 2,800-mile Continental Divide Trail (CDT) end-to-end in 2006.

Now, 10 years later, Corliss will soon begin the same hike, her final traverse of the country’s three notable trails — the CDT, the Pacific Crest Trail and the Appalachian Trail. By completing the CDT, Corliss will join a select few — under 200 — who have finished all three trails, achieving the Triple Crown of hiking.

Admission to the film is by donation, which will be given to the Student Conservation Association, the group Corliss credits for igniting her passion for hiking the fabled trails.
