The Shady Bottom band promises to “shake off the dust of everyday life” for those who come to hear the group play at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Red Bike.

Inspired by the sounds and personalities of the late 1960s and early 70s, Shady Bottom will “serve up gritty and gyrating songs for the modern party” but in the tradition of “hard grooving, hip-thrusting old school house parties and juke joint jam sessions.”

The free event is open to all ages until 11 p.m., then ages 21 and older only.
