Opportunities abound for Island singers, artists and performers of all ages

Calling all plein air painters

A plein air painting show will open at The Hardware Store Restaurant in October. To be considered for inclusion, artists should bring up to four framed paintings, at least one of which was painted on Vashon, to the restaurant between noon and 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27 or Monday, Sept. 28. Paintings should be labeled (on back) with the artist’s name, phone number, title of painting and price.

There is no fee, and The Hardware Store will handle sales and retain a 30 percent commission. E-mail jan@janicewall.com.
