The second free concert of Vashon Park District’s summer World Music and Dance Series will take place at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at Ober Park.
Cassandra Robertson, a Corvallis, Ore., singer and songwriter who plays “acoustic conscious folk,” will play a free concert from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 in Café Luna.
Islewilde, Vashon’s homegrown, collaborative, build-it-yourself arts celebration, will unfold at Farmstad on the north end of the Island on Aug. 15 to 17, after nine days of workshops where participants will build puppets, make costumes and design events for the festival.
