They’re back. Publish The Quest, a popular band with deep Vashon roots, will return to play at 9 p.m. Saturday at the Red Bike.

Publish The Quest, with frontman Jacob Bain, has made a name for itself worldwide as both a musical and philanthropic force. The band blends groove music melodies with vocally driven compositions with lyrics about social issues, expressed through story telling.

Working with the nonprofit Learn Africa, Publish The Quest has made several recent trips to Cape Verde, Zimbabwe, Mali, Poland, Portugal and Spain, where they performed in music festivals and other more intimate venues.

After three years of traveling, recording and collaborating, Publish The Quest has just released its full-length album “A Thousand Kinds of Gold!” It was recorded in Seattle, Zimbabwe, Mali and Nigeria.

Due to the popularity of this band, event organizers highly recommended arriving early for the show.

Tickets will be available at the door for $8, and ID is required. This is an all-ages show until 11 p.m., then 21 and older after that.
