Seattle band plays at the Red Bike

The Joy Mills Band, which The Stranger described as "Seattle's liveliest country-flavored act since Neko Case," will play a show at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Red Bike.

The Joy Mills Band, which The Stranger described as “Seattle’s liveliest country-flavored act since Neko Case,” will play a show at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Red Bike.

Joy Mills, on acoustic guitar and vocals, is joined by Lucien LaMotte on electric guitar and pedal steel, Tom Parker on bass and vocals and Mike McDermott on drums. The band’s sound is a well-grooved blend of roots, rock ‘n’ roll, folk and country.

The free show is open to all-ages until 11 p.m., then 21 and older only.
