Step out for spring gallery cruise on Friday

Most galleries and art spots are open from 6 to 9 p.m.

Café Luna will show the latest images from island photographer Lori Kay for April and May.

Hastings-Cone Gallery will show the artwork of Anna Plummer. “Art for me is akin to adult recess time. It is my joy at 5 a.m. to witness the images coming forth using pen and watercolor pencils,” she said.

Heron’s Nest will feature artist Allison Trundle for April.

Hinge Gallery will show new local artwork, cards and prints and offer refreshments from The Commons.

Paper Chase Gallery will show large and small origami paper flowers.

Raven’s Nest will present “Birds of the Northwest,” Native American and First Nations depictions of regional birds. Tlingit master artist Israel Shotridge will be at the reception to personalize his latest print “Owl” or “k’akw.”

The Hardware Store restaurant will present photography by Harry Goldstrom.

VALISE Gallery will exhibit a retrospective show of work by Ina Whitlock, “80 Years in Art 1936-2016.”

Vashon Allied Arts Gallery will be closed in April during the move to Vashon Center for the Arts. It will reopen in May.

Vashon Intuitive Arts will show ink, brush and watercolor work by artist Tristan Ruegamer.
