Summer movie magic returns to Night Light Drive-In

A new season of outdoor cinema, from first-run blockbusters to favorite classic films, kicks off soon.

Open Space for Arts and Community and Vashon Theatre are teaming up again this summer to bring the Night Light Drive-In back to The Great Lawn at Open Space for Arts & Community — inviting islanders to enjoy the nostalgic charm of drive-in movies.

The Night Light Drive-In opens Friday, June 23, kicking off a season of outdoor cinema with something for everyone, from first-run blockbusters to favorite classic films.

The first three movies in the lineup have already been announced and tickets are available for purchase on the Vashon Theatre website, at vashontheatre.com.

The lineup includes the epic conclusion to the intergalactic saga, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 23, and Saturday, June 24. Next up, “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse” at 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 30, and Saturday, July 1.

The excitement will continue with the high-octane action of “John Wick: Chapter 4” at 9:30 p.m. Friday, July 7, and Saturday, July 8.

Concessions will be available for purchase in advance, on the Vashon Theatre website, and at the event.
