A ‘Winter Feast for the Soul’ returns to Vashon

Vashon second’s Winter Feast for the Soul begins this week. This international event is intended to provide a way for people to join their intentions for personal and planetary peace by committing to 40 minutes of spiritual practice each day.

Organizers on Vashon have created a host of events for Islanders from Jan. 15 to Feb. 23, beginning with the opening celebration, which will include a labyrinth walk, stories of the Feast, presentations on offerings for the coming weeks, a dance and heart meditation. It will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at Joan Hanna’s Barn, 7712 S.W. Point Robinson Road.

The feast’s events include:

Daily Silent Sits, noon to 1 p.m. Jan. 15 to Feb. 23, at Joan Hanna’s Barn.
