Greens seek diversity

The Vashon-Maury Island Green Party’s (VMIGP) monthly meeting (second Tuesday of each month) will be at Joy Goldstein’s home. Democrats, Independents and other interested parties are most welcome. We seek diversity. This month’s meeting will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 10329 S.W. Bank Rd. Park along Bank Road.

The agenda includes questions and comments, a continued discussion of “What does it mean to be VMIGP?” and how we can be most effective in the local community.

Questions? Call Steve Graham, administrative coordinator, at 463-9579 or me, secretary, at 463-3468.

Computer club celebrates

Traditionally, the Computer Club’s December meeting is a holiday celebration: hot drinks and cookies for everyone and a visual program for entertainment. The meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Vashon Senior Center.

This year, Werner Fitze will show images from his travels. He has traveled widely in Europe and elsewhere, and this should be a real treat.

Hot drinks will be provided by the Ranstroms and will include tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

Cookies are always provided by members and guests, a few from each person attending.

If time permits, some questions and troubleshooting may be possible, but this is a celebration more than a business session, a time for members and guests to socialize and enjoy one another’s company.

Anyone may attend this meeting and participate in the discussion and celebration, free of charge; the public is always welcome.

Membership is affordable and offers additional benefits.
