A news brief in the Feb. 3 issue of The Beachcomber entitled, “Construction waste no longer accepted at transfer stations” incorrectly reported that the Vashon transfer station was part of a county-wide effort to increase the recycling of construction waste by not accepting large loads of the waste.

Doug Williams, spokesman for the King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks said the ban on large loads of construction waste does not apply to Vashon.
