Dental Care of Vashon has hired Dr. Radost Dimova to fill the position left vacant by Dr. Bill Kawa, after injuries he sustained in a serious motorcycle accident left him unable to return to practice.

Dimova, a native of Bulgaria, moved to the U.S. in 1998 and attended dental school at Columbia University in New York. She moved to Seattle in 2009 and has been working at a practice in the city. Dimova will move to the island in September, where she will see patients four days a week.

In an email, Dimova noted that she enjoys interacting with her patients and is looking forward to exploring all that Vashon has to offer.

Drs. Adam Cramer and Scott Crane will continue their monthly office hours for more complicated work, such as dental implants, oral surgery and other procedures requiring intravenous sedation.

Editor’s Note: The practice is incorrectly named in the print edition as Vashon Dental Care. Dental Care of Vashon is the correct name. The Beachcomber regrets the error.
