Anglers took to the Vashon Sportsmen’s Club on Sunday for a day of fishing and food, accompanied by the sweet tunes and wit of island emcee, singer-songwriter John van Amerongen.

The event, the Kids’ Trout Derby, is an annual tradition at the club. It’s free and open every year to children 12 and younger.
