Beverley Anne Curtis was born in Tacoma, WA to Lyman and Vivian Hall, the youngest of five siblings. She attended school in Tacoma and graduated from Stadium High School along with many lifelong friends. Beverley was very musical and held the position of First Chair Violin in the Tacoma Symphony for over eight years.

Beverley Curtis moved to Vashon Island in 1966 with her husband Keith Curtis and three sons. She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church and very active in the Vashon Presbyterian Church where she served as Deacon, Elder, Organist and The Choir Director.

Beverley was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. After she retired from Pacific Northwest Bell Beverley did volunteer social work for the Children’s Home Society for which she received the Governor’s Award for Outstanding Volunteerism.

Beverley died peacefully surrounded by loving family after losing a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty nine years Keith Curtis, her oldest son Bruce Curtis and granddaughter Cindy. She is survived by two sons; Bill and Kevin, five grandchildren; Tina and Lisa, Staci, Amber and Preston and eight great grandchildren; Joe, Nick and Bailey, Hayden, Ava and Hailey, Mehkenzie and Trisha.

Beverley will be laid to rest alongside her husband, son and granddaughter in the Vashon Cemetery.

A celebration of Beverley’s life will be held on Sunday July 31st 2011 at 4 pm at the Cascade View Presbyterian Church 1030 East Casino Road, Everett WA 98203.
