January 11, 1949 ~ July 10, 2011

Born to Rhoda May (Stewart) and Frank J. Posh, Bill attended James Monroe High School and was a veteran of the Army and Vietnam War.  He was an avid Nascar fan waiting for Tony Stewart to achieve his first championship and enjoyed hunting elk during the off season.

A Hobby stock racer in the 1970’s he later became the Crew chief for multiple teams in Street stock. For much of his life Bill was a contractor. After his military duties he became a body technician for General Motors where he gained the knowledge to build winning race cars and from which he ultimately retired.

Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January, 2011, he went peacefully surrounded by family. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife Gretchen, sisters Lee Posh and Rose Satoris and brother Frank Posh. Also 3 children, Sean Riley (wife Jennifer), Angela Brister (husband Andy) and Billy Posh Jr. (wife Heather) 3 grandchildren (Travis, Elysabeth and Danyell). He was a man who had room in his heart for everyone he met during life. His service will be held Thursday, July 21st at 1:00 pm at the Lewis Funeral Chapel in Bremerton, Wa.
