Denise Faye Bricker

July 7, 1951 – January 25, 2016

Denise passed away peacefully on the morning of January 25 with her daughter and loved ones at her side. Denise was born on July 7, 1951, to Ralph and Olive Stuart in Bremerton WA. Denise was the baby of five. She attended East High School until her junior year, when she met and married a United States Marine. Shortly after being married their daughter Teressa was born and she became Denise’s world.

Over the years she lived in Ohio, Arizona and Nevada. Denise moved to Vashon with her daughter in 2002 and began working as a private in-home caregiver, specializing in dementia and Alzheimer’s care. She loved her work and her clients, and continued to work until her illness in April of 2015. Denise loved life and she always had a smile for those who didn’t. She loved her friends, family, her daughter, and her two cats Bennie and Teeka.

Denise is survived by her daughter Teressa Montez (Dave Bacon), her sisters Virginia Danby (Meegan, Kevin and Cameron), Julie Beatty (Kimberly Beatty), Sharon Deeds (Duane, Shawn and Scott) and her brother Richard Stuart (Annie, Steve and Butch).

At her request no services were held. A celebration of life was held with family. An extended thank you to Providence Hospice – Kathy, Kimberly, Rebecca, Paula, Robyn, Deborah and Malinea. Your superior caring and comfort will never be forgotten.
