Margaret Mary Rojecki 1920 ~ 2008

Margaret Mary Rojecki, 88, passed away October 20, 2008, at Evergreen Hospice of Kirkland, after a brief illness. Margaret was born to Martin Wesley and Katherine Mary (McDonough) Airhart in Proctor, Minnesota on August 3, 1920. The family moved to Plains, Montana where Margaret spent her childhood and school years.

Margaret met and married Joseph Louis Rojecki on August 19, 1943. Before marrying Joe she joined the VFW Auxiliary in 1942 becoming a lifetime member. They moved to Vashon Island in 1961 where they raised their children, and became a member Soroptimist International, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Vashon Garden Club and Vashon G&CC.

Survivors include three sons and their wives: Shamus and Callista of Butte, Montana; Richard and Carol of Vashon and Jim and Lisa of Issaquah and a daughter Jo Ann of Kennewick. In addition, Margaret is survived by five grandchildren and five great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held Saturday October 25th at the Vashon Lutheran Church and Inurnment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery with her beloved husband.
