Mark Handley Aspiri

Mark was a visionary who saw many possibilities before others could.

Mark was born October 7, 1968 to Edith and Ray Aspiri. He grew up on Vashon Island, Washington and attended Vashon Grade School and McMurray Middle School. He graduated from Kennedy High School in Burien. He then attended Eastern Washington University, and graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business.

Mark had a knack for languages and learned them quickly. He spent time in Japan with the Noda Family and learned about their Marukoshi Pickle Co. In 2009, Mark founded Generation Point. In 2011, he moved his family to the Philippines where among many projects, Generation Point supplied emergency equipment and ambulances to remote villages and towns. After many adventures they returned to the United States and settled in his wife Jennifer’s native Colorado.

Mark enjoyed life on their 100 acre ranch on the Colorado River. Jennifer owns and operates High Bred Hybrids which breeds and trains puppies for those needing service dogs. Mark married Jennifer Sellers and adopted her son, Justin Riley Thyer. Justin married Dreanna in December, 2022.

Mark also ran for U.S. Senate in 2014 and supported many conservative initiatives and organizations. He spent most of his later years supporting non-profit organizations, giving significant resources to all types of under-resourced families, and serving with Jennifer as foster parents to many children. Many animals were rescued and kept at the ranch over the years. Many of his donations were anonymous and intended solely for the benefit of the recipients. He never expected a thank you.

Mark was a visionary who saw many possibilities before others could. The big picture was not just what was in front of him at the moment. Mark passed away suddenly in May while visiting a friend in Malibu, California.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer and son Justin (Dreanna). Parents, Edith and Ray Aspiri, siblings, Gary (Mitzi), Tressa, Karen (Randy) John (Rhonda) and many nieces and nephews. Mark held close to his friends from all over the globe.
