Mary Woodman

Mary C. Woodman died on Dec. 31, 2010 in Gig Harbor, Wash.

Mrs. Woodman was born on Sept. 27, 1936, in Seattle. She moved to Vashon Island 24 years ago when she married Bob Woodman. She was well known as a hostess for frequently opening their home on Saturday nights for her husband’s bluegrass band, “Garage Boys.” She had also been a part of Vashon Quilters with her sister.

Mrs. Woodman will be missed by her husband Bob Woodman, now of Port Orchard; her sons Bill Schmidtz of Whidbey Island, Rod Woodman of Belfair and David Woodman of Enumclaw; her daughters Linda Woodman of Federal Way and Elaine Jewett of Port Orchard; her sister ZoeAnn Gleason of Port Orchard; her brother David Gleason of Port Orchard; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
