William Rosendahl

William Rosendahl, born October 28, 1936 in Seattle, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 27 at Bayview Manor in Seattle, Washington from a cancerous brain tumor. Bill graduated from Ballard High School, where he was yell leader in his junior and senior years and also on the baseball team. After three years in the Army, stationed in Puerto Rico as a dental specialist, he continued his studies at the University of Washington, and graduated in 1963 with a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from the UW Dental School. His passion for dentistry and serving his patients lasted 48 years with offices in both the University Village area and Vashon Island. He also started a dental assistant training school in Seattle in 1995 and enjoyed teaching and mentoring these students. Bill was a life member of the Seattle-King County Dental Society, Washington State Dental Association, and American Dental Association. He was also a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy. In past years, he was an active skier, golfer, tennis player and poker enthusiast. He enjoyed all local sports teams, especially his beloved Huskies. He enjoyed traveling to his winter home near Puerto Vallarta and many places around the world with his loving wife Barbara.

Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara, and daughters Lynda, Kari, Amy, Jody (Andres) and grandson, Ryan. He is also survived by his brothers Joe and Doug and sisters Gloria and Darla, as well as nieces and nephew.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at the Swedish Cultural Center
