Thank you, Camille Reeves, for writing “With Trump inauguration looming, compassion and empathy necessary to stop blame, hatred” (Jan. 4, 2017). I so agree!

Since Trump was elected, I’ve experienced a lot of fearful feelings expressed from friends, and I have often thought that this fear/hate makes positive actions very, very difficult to access … or as Camille said, “with anger and hate we rob ourselves of the only peace we really have any control over.”

And we really need to keep our eyes open these days and not let them close in hatred. Yes, as Camille emphasized, love is the only way.
