We are endorsing Jan Milligan for fire commissioner. Her leadership and managerial skills are well known on the island. Her spirit of community service is notable. Key among the positions she has held or continues to hold are 15 years as director of Camp Sealth — at times with 300 children, past president and treasurer of Rotary, 10 years with VashonBePrepared (emergency ops) and currently manager of our Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
