New lights available for kids

Stop by Spider’s Ski and Sport and ask for a free light — then use it.

Spider’s Ski and Sport has a new shipment of lights especially ordered and paid for by the concerned folks of Vashon for young people travelling to and from school in the dark hours. Warm, winter clothing seems to be predominantly dark making it difficult for drivers to see kids walking or riding along the side of the road. Perhaps we should cancel school during the winter and just have school in the summer when there is plenty of sunlight.

The lights can be worn on the leg when biking or the arm or fastened to a backpack.

You don’t need special permission or papers, just be a kid, stop by Spider’s and ask for a free light — then use it.
