Vashon athletes run, jump to victory at Life Christian

The VHS girls track took second place at its most recent meet.

The Pirates ended last month with their third track and field meet of the season, hosted by Life Christian Academy, on Thursday, March 31. The Orting, Chimacum and Cascade Christian teams also competed.

The meet took place at Charles Wright Academy. As the sun made a rare appearance, the Pirates came out of hibernation with a few stellar performances, both as a team and as individuals.

The boys 800 meters was swept by Vashon as Colin Andrus and Aidan Cyra finished first and second, helping the Pirates maximize their team score. Aidan Cyra also won the boys 3200 in 11:23.
