Lelavision reveals new kinetic sculpture

Island musician/sculptor Ela Lambin and Leah Mann are the dynamic duo behind Lelavision. The couple recently exhibited Lambin’s 30-foot tall sculpture featured above in Blackrock City for Burning Man as part of their latest creative collaboration, “Interspecies Communication: a Sculpture, Music and Dance Celebration.”

Lelavision brought the sculpture back to Vashon and is now preparing for the sculpture’s Seattle premiere at Duwamish Waterway Park on Saturday.

The main event begins at 3 p.m. with Lelavision, the Duwamish Tribe and other multicultural community groups performing on the waterfront. A potluck and performances will follow.

Mann said a large crowd is expected and reservations can be made via eventbrite.com.

Updates for the event can be found on Facebook. A video of the sculpture on display at Burning Man can be seen on Vimeo.
