The Vashon High School boys’ soccer team played two games last week, defeating both Cascade Christian and Seattle Christian.

The Vashon Pirates started off against the Cascade Christian Cougars last Monday. The Pirates showed their dominance throughout the game by going ahead 8-0 in the first 15 minutes of the game, which ended 13-0 in the Pirates’ favor.

The goals were scored by Tommy Delargy with 4, Fredy Gutierrez with 4, Finley Oswald with 2, and Jakob Heuschert, Avi Roter and Isaac Ajeto each with one goal.

On Friday the Pirates traveled to Starfire Sports Complex to square off with the Seattle Christian Warriors. The Pirates beat the Warriors 7-0.

This was the first time Vashon has beaten Seattle Christian at their home field under coach Bork. The goals were scored by Delargy with 3, and JJ Bogaard, Sasha Elenko, Alden Hinden-Stevenson, and Oswald each earning 1.

The Vashon Pirates have been in great form this season so far winning 9 games, drawing 3, and losing 1. Tommy Delargy has been top notch this season, scoring 25 goals in 11 games. Another player that has definelty been tearing it up on the field is Finley Oswald, who has 11 goals in 12 games.

The Pirates will travel to Sunset Stadium on Wednesday to play against the Cascade Christian Cougars once again. On Friday, the Pirates will play against Charles Wright Academy at the McMurray Middle School Field at 6:00 PM, JV at 4:00 PM.

Vashon have the chance to make history on Friday and become the Nisqually League Champions. Currently they are tied for first place with CWA, so a win can seal the title off for either team. 12 seniors will be honored for the hard work and sacrifice they have put into this team for the past 4 years, and it would be great for everyone to be there to witness the last home game of the season as well as to witness a historical night for the Vashon High School Pirates.
