Letter to the Editor: Voters want less waste, not more taxes
Published 12:11 pm Tuesday, December 7, 2010
We agree with Brian Dougher (paid submission, The Beachcomber, Wednesday, Nov. 24), that most people are thoughtful voters and they have expressed exactly what they want.
There is waste in government as everywhere else and it should be addressed, not just have more money thrown at it. The $80 million, or $30 million, ferry should be looked at.
The condescending editorial chiding voters about their votes as if they were incapable of good judgement was uncalled for.
