VCA Bramblefest features Cowboy Junkies

Cowboy Junkies, the popular Canadian alternative country/blues/folk rock band, will be the star of Bramblefest, Vashon Center for the Arts’ outdoor summer concert, slated for 7 p.m. Friday at the VCA outside arts space.

Formed in Toronto in 1985, the group — Margo Timmins, Michael Timmins, Peter Timmins and Alan Anton — is well known for such hit songs as “Sweet Jane,” “Misguided Angel” and “I’m so Lonesome I Could Cry.” Performing songs from their latest release, “Notes Falling Slow,” the band will also play songs from the group’s past.
