Kinetic sculptures fill Open Space meadow

A five-year work in progress will come to fruition Saturday with the opening of the Kinetic Sculpture Garden in the 10-acre meadow adjacent to the Open Space for Arts &Community building.

Two other kinetic events will follow: Kinetic Arts Camp beginning Monday, July 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a second session beginning Aug. 7; and the Kinetic Arts Explosion Opening Day, slated for 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 22.

In addition to the main kinetic sculptures, other events this weekend will include the Putt-Putt Golf Invitational plus water and field games.

Events will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
