Chris Beck, Greg McElroy, Marla Smith and Irene Otis will talk with moderator Liz Shepherd, editor of The Beachcomber, about these formative days on Vashon. This talk will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 14 on Zoom. Register at bit.ly/3iQxnEi.

Vashon Events launches music scholarship

Vashon Events is starting a college scholarship fund for graduating Vashon High Schoolers who are entering the music field.

This includes music performance, sound engineering, and other careers related to music. The scholarship fund has been made possible by an initial donation by Michael and Krissy Soltman. The Vashon Events Music Scholarship will be awarded this year to a high school senior and hopefully will continue well into the future.

If you would like to participate in this scholarship fund, you may donate at donorbox.org/vashon-events-music-scholarship-fund, and your donation will be earmarked for the college scholarship fund.
