On Friday, June 10, Windermere Real Estate agents and staff from more than 300 offices across the western United States gathered together and devoted a day of service to those in need, as part of a yearly tradition of giving back to the communities where brokers live and work.

These hands-on projects assist a wide range of community-based groups, from senior centers to playgrounds, food banks, and more.

For their part, Windermere Vashon brokers helped to weed flower beds, remove scotch broom and black berries, and chop down a big Madrone branch at the Vashon Food Bank. Brokers also assisted in sifting and organizing donations at Granny’s Attic.

Windermere’s Community Service Day has been recognized as a national model for hands-on service, and it has been replicated by other real estate firms and businesses around the country.
