Support Group for Family Caregivers
For those who care for others, a good caregiver support group can be a lifeline, providing an opportunity to be with others who are walking a similar path.
The Vashon Care Network invites islanders to join other family caregivers in a safe, supportive space to share their experiences. Support circles will be offered every Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Vashon Lutheran Church, on April 6, 13, 20 and 27. If you need someone to stay with your loved one so you can participate, please let the organizers of the support group know. Questions? Contact Kathy Shafel at kshafel@comcast.net or 206-718-1458, or Tory Hayes, at victoriansmith@comcast.net or 206-304-4544.
