Fifth-grade students from Chautauqua Elementary School embarked on an unforgettable Outdoor School adventure at Camp Sealth from May 23 to 26, thanks to a collaborative effort between their teachers and the team at Journeymen’s One Village Initiative, together aiming to support mentorship and rites of passage experiences for the young learners.

The immersive trip was designed to nurture the students’ appreciation for nature, teamwork, and personal growth. Throughout their time at Camp Sealth, the students were immersed in a variety of interactive activities facilitated by the team from One Village, led by islanders Nicki Wilks and Alex Craighead.

Students participated in team-building exercises, environmental education sessions, and other outdoor adventures. The opportunity at Camp Sealth provided Chautauqua Elementary School fifth-graders with a remarkable opportunity for exploration, discovery, and personal development.
