The Poetry Well is a monthly column that showcases island poetry. This month includes the acrostic poem, “A Perilous Fall,” by Claudia Hollander-Lucas, a longtime islander.
Hollander-Lucas combines word and image in poetry, acrostics, collages, broadsides and handmade books. An art professor, she is a founding member of Vashon’s Quartermaster Press, Le Petit Salon and the Subversives Writers Group. Publications include “A Year of Real Flowers for Jane Camellia,” “Vox Populi” and “Roots and Tendrils.”
