Women’s jazz orchestra performs holiday set

Showcasing many of the finest female jazz artists in the region for over seventeen years, Seattle Women’s Jazz Orchestra (SWOJO) performs jazz standards, as well as Latin and Brazilian jazz, and proudly features original music by many regional and international composers and arrangers. Formed to nurture the musical, educational, and artistic growth of individual musicians, and to encourage women to become involved in jazz performance and composition as a career or avocation, the band has performed at clubs, jazz festivals, and concert halls on two continents, and performed with many distinguished artists including Mimi Fox, Susan Pascal, Greta Matassa, and Grace Kelly. SWOJO performs a holiday set with a special cameo by Vashon’s own Rebekah Kuzma.
