Berkeley Breathed’s classic story, “Red Ranger Came Calling,” was adapted for the stage and will be performed at the Vashon High School theater at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, as a preview performance, and run Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 21 to 23, at 7 p.m., with a matinee at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Charlotte Tiencken, who recently directed “33 Variations,” will direct Drama Dock’s musical production of the holiday tale, with Sue Wiley producing the show. The original musical was adapted by Myra Platt, Ed Key and Seattle’s Book-It Repertory Theatre.
