Will sing for Vashon

Enjoy a special evening with Vashon musicians singing for island nonprofits at Vashon Events’ annual “Will Sing for Vashon” at 8 p.m. Friday at the Red Bike.

The evening is an open call for island musicians. Those who have signed up so far include Abigail Sloane, Allison Shirk, Diane Emerson, Greg Dember, Harmonie Chapman, John van Amerongen, Loren Sinner, Maijah & Shan, Martin Feveyear, Michael Whitmore, Nick Hyde, Parker Staczek Family, Phil Royal, Rebekah Bevilacqua, Roger Taylor, Sarah Howard and more.

The event is produced by Pete Welch and Allison Shirk of Vashon Events, with Shirk emceeing the night. Last year’s show raised $1,800 for island nonprofits. Shirk and Welch hope to raise even more this year.

This is an all-ages show until 11 p.m., then ages 21 and older only. Donations will be accepted in lieu of a cover charge.
