Thank you Mike Weller

On behalf of the commissioners and staff of Water District 19, I want to thank Mike Weller for his eight dedicated years of service as a commissioner, which come to an end next month.

Since no one filed to run for his position, the commission invites citizens to apply to fill his seat. The position requires participation at an average of one and a half meetings per month, and pays a very modest stipend.

If you are interested and reside in the district, please write to us at water19@water19.com, telling us why you want to serve, what skills you would bring to the position, where you live, and whether you receive water service from the district. Put “Commissioner application” in the subject line, attach your resumé, and submit your letter by Monday, Dec. 8.

The commission will interview applicants and make an appointment at our Dec. 16 meeting. The appointee will serve until the end of 2027, and will have the opportunity to stand for election in 2027 for the remaining four years of the term.
